Biographical Note for PARKINSONIAN
Par·kin·son \ˈpär-kən-sən\ , James (1755–1824), British surgeon. Parkinson published a monograph on paralysis agitans in 1817. His classic description established the disease as a clinical entity, and ever since his name has been closely identified with it.
